I met Harry in 2001. Before I was hired by KLJC, I had the wonderful privilege of being introduced to him. Harry was introduced to me as "the father of KLJC." We had a wonderful chat about the Lord Jesus, Calvary Bible College, and Christian radio. Harry had a passion for people, a passion for radio, and a great love for KLJC. It was indeed his baby. In the years to follow, whenever I had a question or issue in radio, I knew Harry would be there--and would know the answer. He knew all about the history of the station and the students who were there over the years. He was a true confidant and friend. He had a passion to honor the past, but also to recognize the need to prepare for the future. It was Harry's passion for students that helped me press on with the vision of creating the student station at KLJC and continue his legacy of training students for broadcasting and ministry. Anyone that has been associated with the broadcasting department at Calvary Bible College was given that great privilege because of the foundation that was laid by Harry Waterhouse. His memory and legacy live on through the countless students who have impacted this world and spread the Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
