We repeatedly see how much it helps survivors when families pre-plan. There is usually a substantial savings and the deceased wishes can be followed exactly. But many people don't take that important step.

Since no one wants to think about dying, people procrastinate and put off taking the first steps towards preplanning. In fact, a lot of folks think that "someone else" will handle it. But who? At Speaks we believe that its a personal decision and that you may be better served by making your own plans. In fact, if you wait it may be that your wishes will not be known at all. Who will make your plans? And will they know enough to inform the funeral home of what you wanted?

To better communicate these issues, we are trying something new. Our YouTube Channel uses a different approach to show that it may be better to make your own plans in advance. Instead of the traditional approach, we use three "characters" that take a slightly humorous look at why people might want to plan for themselves instead of leaving it for someone else. If you don't plan your service, someone else will have to. Plan ahead. Leave well.
