Obituary for Danny Lee Morgan

Danny Lee  Morgan
Danny Lee Morgan, 80, of Independence, passed away Wednesday, May 9th, 2018. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 15th at 2:00pm at the 39th St. Church of Christ, 15331 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.
Danny was born on June 29th, 1937, in Blackwell, OK to Adonijah and Vada (Hall) Morgan. He served for three years in the United States Army and graduated from Oklahoma University. In 1958, he married his beloved wife, Patricia (Oder) Morgan. Danny retired after many years as the owner of the “19th Hole Pro Shop” at the Crackerneck Golf Course. His family and his faith were the most important elements of his life. He was a faithful member of the 39th Street Church of Christ were he attended for many, many years with his wife, Pat.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George and Aaron and his sister, Hallene Parr. He is survived by his wife, Pat; his son, Tracy Morgan of Johnson Co., MO; his daughter, Janey Dodson and her husband, Bryan of Independence; his grandchildren, Jessica, Kristen, Mirranda, and Shane, as well as, 4 great-grandchildren; he also leaves behind a sister, Sally Haas, of Bartlesville, OK and a brother, John Morgan and his wife Kathryn, of Wagoner, OK.
