Gilbert Lee LeClaire
Gilbert L. LeClaire, 66, Independence, MO passed away July 9, 2017. Memorial services will be 3 pm, Sat., July 15 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm before the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 14310 East 42nd St South, Unit 600, Independence, Missouri 64055.
Gilbert was born Nov. 20, 1950 in Sedalia, MO. He was a dispatcher for B & H Freight Lines where he worked for thirty-six years until his recent illness. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles and loved spending time with his family.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife Angela LeClaire. He is survived by daughters Christie Maddux and husband Mike, Pleasant Hill, MO; Amanda Manus and husband Travis: son Andrew LeClaire and wife Lindsey, all of Independence, MO; sisters Edie Schrill and husband Harold; Linda Winfrey, all of Warsaw, MO; half-brother Danny; half-sisters Julie, Terry and Michelle; step-brother Ernie and grandchildren Viola, Lexi, Michael, Kaitlynn, Tailynn, Shailynn, Steven and many other family members..
