Richard Lee "Rick" Davis Jr.
Richard L. Davis, Jr., 63, passed away on September 21, 2016 at his home in Independence, MO tending to his beloved garden and yard. A celebration of his life will be held at Mill Creek Park Pavilion, 1717 N. River Blvd, Independence, MO, on Sunday, September 25, at 4:00 p.m. Please bring your own chairs.
Rick was born April 17, 1953 in San Diego, CA and attended Truman High School in Independence and Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa. He loved creating with his hands- from designing miniatures to building homes, he was a talented craftsman.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Davis, Sr., and his nephew, Ben Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Dennis, Independence, MO; his mother Virginia Davis Martin and stepfather Vern Martin, Independence, MO; his children Eva Rensing and husband Jesse, Independence, MO; Andrea Savage and husband Joel, Boulder, CO; Grant Watkins Davis, Independence, MO; and Kyle Watkins Davis, Independence, MO; brothers Tim Davis and wife Barbara, Independence, MO; Ron Davis and wife Denise, Englewood, CO; two grandchildren, Emerson and Henri; numerous nieces and nephews; and all his beloved animals.
