Obituary for Nancie Ruth White (Sevy)

Nancie Ruth Sevy White, 69, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Cremation is planned, with a memorial service to be planned for a later date. Nancie was a “Renaissance woman”, a woman with interest in arts, sciences, business, antiques, and history. She has a life-long interest in learning and researched anything and everything she came across. She passed that love of history and satisfying a curiosity to her son. She was Google before there was Google. She loved antiques and learning the history behind a piece. Nancie was extremely knowledgeable about glassware, ceramics, and American primitives. She was an original Woodstock witness and lifelong devotee of the finer aspects of all things tie-dye. Nancie was a woman who learned the crafts of sewing, canning, food preservation, and gardening from a young age and continued to utilize that “pioneer knowledge” throughout her life. She as a life force who will be greatly missed. To quote an old Willie Nelson song; she was "an angel flying to close to the ground". Survivors include, her loving husband, Larry; and son, Charles Frazier (Heather) and grandsons, Chaucer, Cashel and Cullen; step sons, Ronnie Klopfenstine (Kathleen) and granddaughters Josie, Nina and Carley; and John White (Andrea) and grandsons Brayden and Troy.
