Verona Buck, 79, of Independence, MO passed away October 30, 2019. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. memorial service on Monday, November 4, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Verona was born January 25, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to James and Bessie (Carver) Beadles. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1958, and married James Buck in 1961. She worked for B Dalton Book Seller for 20 years until her retirement. After that, she volunteered at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in numerous capacities. She is survived by her husband, James Buck; son, John Buck (Marilyn); daughter, Patti Buck Johnson (Stuart); son, Travis Buck (Jennifer); and five grandchildren, Abigail, Laura, Lucas, Jonas and Morgan.
