Obituary for Edward Perry

Edward Perry, a longtime resident of Kansas City, MO, passed away unexpectedly on April 11th, 2021 at the age of 56 while at home. Ed shared three children with Kim Perry and is survived by his children; Joshua Perry [Shelby Perry], Jessica Perry, and Julie Perry; his mother Georga Perry; his brother Christopher Perry; his sisters Brenda, Angie, and Liz Perry. He was a loving uncle to De'Mont Perry [Marilynashley Perry], Alexus Drummond, Amber Perry, and Nickolas Perry. The Perry family moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1969 from Arkansas. Ed was born in Parkin, Arkansas on April 22nd, 1964 to Georga Perry. He graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1982. For many years Ed worked in the hotel and transportation industry. Ed was a loving father, brother, husband and son. He enjoyed everything sports, literature, music and family. He would make anyone laugh, could give anyone directions to anywhere at the drop of a hat, and could tell you what happened in any given year especially regarding sports. He made BBQ and gardening an art and it was an art that he mastered. He was always there for his family and showed the unending triumph of optimism. He will be dearly missed by so many. A memorial visitation is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Carson-Speaks Chapel located at 1501 W Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052. A memorial service is to follow at 3:00 p.m., Sunday. Pastor Rick Long will officiate the service.
