Life Story for Donna Lou Adams

Donna Lou Adams, wife of Jackie Adams, 86, passed away on December 4, 2019, in Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 12:00pm, in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mountain Grove, MO.
Donna was born on August 22, 1933, in Cando, ND, the only child of William H. Shaw and Adeline Spaulding Shaw. She came to the Independence area to attend Graceland College, where she majored in art and minored in architecture. She married Jackie Adams in 1971, and together they built a home and a business known as “Flowers And Things.” She was a talented gardener, painter, and skilled in molding and firing ceramics. She was a member of the RLDS church, the Laurel Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star. On occasion, Donna was able to travel back home to Cando, ND as well as the Florida area to reunite with her extended family. As an animal lover, she took in many strays over the years, and gave them food and shelter. She was an outgoing, caring woman with a heart to serve others.
Donna is survived by her children: Wade Klostermayer (wife Debbie), Tenny Adams, and Kenny Adams; grandchildren, James Klostermayer (partner Janea Butt), Robert Klostermayer (wife Kimberly), Adeline, and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Emmett Klostermayer, Skyelar Reno, Tyberius Klostermayer, and Kyra Klostermayer; and many extended family and dear friends.
